Started in 1975 by Frank Gallo, the business is now run by his children, daughter Jeni Holmes and son Ken Gallo. The headquarters is at 303 S. Main Street, in Chiefland, but Genesis services the surrounding areas as well. The Genesis inventory includes not only carpet, but also hardwood, laminate, ceramic wall and floor tile, sheet vinyl, vinyl tile and vinyl planks. You’ll find a wide variety in each category. Genesis deals with established manufacturers like Tarkett, Shaw, Philadelphia, Mohawk, Armstrong, Bruce & Anderson, Queen and others.

The showroom also features samples of the hardwood and laminate flooring that Genesis can provide for you. Laminate is a material that looks like wood but is highly practical for modern- day living. There are casual and formal options available from all of the distributors represented at Genesis.
Ceramic tile is an ideal flooring option for certain areas of your home. At Genesis, you’ll find many samples from which to choose. Again, the Genesis staff provides custom installation.
